Dear parents, guardians and students,

Welcome to Korea Foreign School, a proud authorized IB World School for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and a Cambridge International School offering the Cambridge Secondary and Diploma Programs. It is my pleasure to personally welcome you to our school located in Seoul, South Korea.

As an educational institution, we believe that it is our duty towards our society and at large the whole humanity to raise our students as socially and morally responsible individuals. Being an IB World School providing learning opportunities from G1 to 5, and Cambridge International Program for Grades 6 to 12, we stand for the notions of learning, inquiry, exploring, achieving and inspiring. Every student who becomes a part of the Korea Foreign School family is valued and nurtured as an individual and appreciated for all the unique and vibrant elements they add to the school environment.

Korea Foreign School achieved accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Accredited schools are subject to regular monitoring through routine progress reports and visits, a process which keeps standards high and ensures that schools continue to develop and improve. Accreditation from this important organization marks KFS as one of the highly recognized international schools.

As part of our vision, we hope to prepare students to be life-long learners and good citizens in a culture of shared responsibility. At Korea Foreign School, we are committed to creating a learning environment that is safe, nurturing and respectful in order to foster and develop students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities. We understand and focus on preparing our students to be 21st-century learners. Our world has changed and is constantly evolving. Our primary responsibility is student learning and offering all students the educational opportunities that will maximize their potential in this changing world. Today’s world demands that each individual can think critically, create and communicate in a technology driven society. Korea Foreign School is committed to the use of technology in the process of teaching our students critical thinking skills to prepare them for today and tomorrow.

I warmly invite you to come on a tour of the school and to see us in action and gain a sense of the learning and relationships that exist in every classroom. You will observe the pride we have for our school and for all those who pass through its doors.
