This is Ms. Alison’s fifth year at KFS. She attended the Pennsylvania State University, receiving Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Spanish as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, with a central focus on English and Communications. She has been teaching for nine years and has taught English as well as Spanish in the U.S., Spain, Sweden, and, most recently, South Korea. Before teaching, she also worked as a newspaper reporter for several years in Pennsylvania.
She enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, learning languages (or anything new), reading, writing (especially poetry), and listening to and playing music with her family. She is proud to support teachers as the MYP Coordinator and to be part of the family at Korea Foreign School. She has taught library, grade 6 homeroom, grades 6-8 ELA and has served as the Middle School Head Teacher as well as Head of Academics.
This year, Ms. Alison is delighted to be teaching Spanish as well as College and Career Readiness to MYP students. She is also honored to assume the role of Vice Principal of KFS. Ms. Alison looks forward to sharing her passion and working together with other teachers for the future of the KFS community.
